Featured Modellers Chapter 4.3: Winndom's Knightmare Frame Lancelot Albion

Greetings my fellow gunpla enthusiasts. It has been a while since I have featured some one. Well, today, I'm featuring a great piece of work from within MAC.

Again, just like his first two work, Winndom has done yet another ingenious work, converting a gundam kit into a completely different mecha from a different anime.

That's right folks, just as the title, he SB and sculpted the knighmare frame, Lancelot Albion, from the much acclaimed Code Geass series.

There's nothing to say about how this kit actually started but it was just out of the woodwork, Winndom suddenly made a thread on the forum with some insane putty sculpting and boom, a nice piece of work is born.

He did have some difficulties however, as he started to paint this kit, his airbrush crapped out and he thought this kit will never be finished. He also stated he was so incredibly desperate to finish this kit that heresorted to spray cans to finish the job.

He did admit the build wasn't as clean as he would like because of his AB messing up but in the end, he was really pleased with the work.

He stated about 75%-85% of this kit was SB with putty and he was also bragging about how it show off his sculpting skills... yeah yeah .. we know, Winndom.. we know.. LOOL

The decals he used was printed onto waterslide paper from his laserjet printer, would you look at that .. DIY decals... that's nice.

Well that's about what he did on this one. My personal comment - its sculpted beautifully, its looks beautiful, it was made by many innovative ways of SBing, I find the use of copper wire to mimics joints very ingenious and the wings are just beautifully made.

The draw backs is that , like Winndom's had admitted himself, not perfectly clean and the paint , as some of the members have pointed out and which I agree on, the gold needs to be reworked on. He himself knows and he also stated that he will be working on his painting skills. Come to think of it, I need to too.

Well, that's that. Without further Ado, I present to you, Winndom's masterpiece -

Well, Winndom have taken many photos and these are just some of them. If you want to see more , please kindly click on the LINK to the official thread on the MAC forum.

A beautiful kit regardless of the little Boo-boos Winndom made. A great piece of work and I really love it and I hope you dear readers love this too.

This is for now ... Please look forward for more... Stay Tuned until the next update.

Featured Modellers Chapter 4.2: Winndom's Gundam GaGa

Greetings and Salutation to you, my dear readers.....

Today, I would like to feature another work of the ingenious work of Winndom. I'm sure you will recall his Carnage gundam, his custom, transforming gundam.

In this, I will be featuring his Gundam GaGa, no you haven't read it wrong. GUNDAM GAGA.

This is a project that he started after seeing an Overflag ver. GaGa from Aor-or-Die. He stated he love Lady Gaga and he also love Gunpla and this custom was  built as to celebrate those love. He decided that Gundam GaGa would need to take on some essential GaGa accessories in order to truly embody her. Thus Gundam GaGa is equipped with:

1. A pair of reverse grip buster rifle (inspired by Lady GaGa's crutches in her Paparazzi video)
2. A pair of rifle boobs (inspired by her Alejandro video)
3. A pair of killer high heels (come one, you can't be GaGa without fabulous heels)
4. A funnel system comprise of 7 funnels for her 'hair' because GaGa always has crazy hair
5. Face shield in the style of Astraea because sunglasses are trendy.
6. Feminine proportion...duh

The crutches are modded from 4 buster rifles from Wing Zero HG. Rifle boobs were modded from NG Strike Freedom, high heels were scratch built with muzzle from two of the leftover buster rifle and extra beam saber hilt. The whole funnel system were scratch built. The body was modded from NG Blitz mostly with NG Infinite Justice providing the upper body.

This was his first custom project and he rushed through the details. And he made some boos-boos with sanding and the sanding marks become visible after painting and some minor mistakes showed up after painting. Even with mistakes, he still churned out a awe-inspiring kit with his ingenious design and take on GaGa concept. Another kit from Winndom that I personally find very very inspiring and I do believe so awesome that it eventually will get in a place in MAC's Legend Hall. I hope you guys find this inspiring as I do.

So, Without further Ado, I would like to present to you, Winndom's Gundam GaGa.

Featured Modellers Chapter 4.1: Winndom's Carnage Gundam

Hello All and All hello.

In this 4th chapter of my featuring series, I would like to feature a great great work from an upcoming modeler who is also a newer member of MAC.

This modeler goes by the name of Winndom and, believe you me, he can churn out great modified kits and his skill are really really impressive.

I saw one of his kit in another forum and immediately fell in love with the kit and felt like he has a great load of talent and potential that I invited him over to MAC. Fortunately for both party, he has decided to join and damn, I so glad that he did.

Let me tell you a little bit more about him. He had always built kits since he was little but started looking at the forums back in June and that was when he learned about all the things one can do further. In other word, he has been a collector but only been a modeler for about 4 months.

Much like yours truly, this guy like doing body mods more so than detailing. He stated that scribing custom panel lines and pa-plating is not that fun to him (gosh, you guys have no idea how happy I am to meet a similar styled modeler :P ). He said and I quote - '' There's nothing more fun than coming up with your own mech design. '' - which I completely agree.

He has only completed 3 modded kits ( hard to believe, I know) and now that he has learned airbrush he will be brushing his kits from now on.

Now, this piece of art which I will be featuring is his very first mods and I have to say, it is damn well impressive. He stated really like the SEED line's designs and decided to take some inspirations from the Gaia Gundam and make a mobile suit with an animal mode. He used the NG Infinite Justice as the base kit and just modded parts from there. The color scheme was to make the suit give off a villainous aura. The story behind the concept is that the suit is equipped with an AI system that activates when it goes into beast form. In that form, performance is boosted to extreme but the pilot has no control over the actions of the suit.
The kit was hand painted with acrylic, Apple Barrel Acrylic, that one to be specific.

Apart from the obvious think paint ( remember that this is his first hand painted kit), and the dusts ( which is the nemesis of us all), this is a great great kit. A kit that personally inspire me to a point that I kept looking at it, again and again. This will definitely go down as one of the masterpiece of MAC, and who knows, Winndom could become a Legend of MAC in time.
So, Without further ado, I present to you, Winndom's Carnage Gundam
